Abstract Submission

Abstract Submission for the 19th National Congress of the Turkish Society of Cardiovascular Surgery

  • For technical support or any questions during submission, you may contact LookUs Bilişim at +90 216 372 66 44 or via e-mail at lookus@lookus.net.
  • The Congress Organizing Committee invites all physicians, perfusionists, and nurses to submit abstracts to the congress. All abstracts will be accepted exclusively through the congress website (www.tkdcd2026.org). Abstracts that do not comply with the submission guidelines will not be evaluated (detailed information is provided below).
  • You may submit your abstracts online at www.tkdcd2026.org. Abstract submissions via e-mail, fax, or any other method will not be accepted.
  • The online abstract system allows you to enter your submission step by step. To submit an abstract, you must first create a username and password using your e-mail address, register to the system, and then log in.
  • During submission, authors must enter—besides their own e-mail address—the e-mail address of the responsible department head, program director, or institutional supervisor in the designated field.
  • Authors must indicate their preferred presentation type as oral or poster. Case reports may only be submitted as posters.
  • Abstracts must be submitted in Turkish.
  • The abstract title should be written in capital letters and without a period at the end.
  • Researchers’ names only should be written (without academic titles such as Dr., Assoc. Prof., etc.), institutions must be indicated, and the presenting author’s name must be underlined.
  • The abstract text should be written left-aligned, single-spaced, and without paragraph breaks.
  • Turkish abstracts must include the following subheadings:
    Giriş, Yöntemler, Bulgular, Sonuç
    English abstracts must use:
    Introduction, Methods, Results, Conclusion
  • No editorial editing will be performed before publication; therefore, the scientific accuracy, writing style, and grammar correctness are entirely the responsibility of the authors.
  • Statements such as “Results will be presented at the meeting” should not be used.
  • The abstract text (excluding the title, authors, and institutions) must not exceed 250 words.
  • No more than 2 tables or figures may be included in an abstract.
  • After completing the abstract entry, authors must ensure they perform the “Finalize” step. Otherwise, the abstract will appear as incomplete in the system.
  • Once finalized, please save your abstract reference number and the password you used to log in.
  • The deadline for abstract submission is 11 September 2026 at 20:00. Abstracts submitted after this deadline will not be accepted.
  • Submitted abstracts will be evaluated by the Abstract Evaluation Committee using a blinded review process (author names and institutions removed) and scored out of 100. Based on these scores, abstracts will be accepted for oral or poster presentation.
  • An individual may be listed as an author on a maximum of 8 accepted abstracts. If more than 8 abstracts by the same person are accepted, only the top 8 scoring abstracts will remain. Please take this into consideration when entering authors’ names.
  • All correspondence regarding submitted abstracts will be conducted with the individual who submitted the abstract to the system.
  • For an accepted abstract to be presented at the congress, the presenting author must have a completed congress registration.
  • Accepted abstracts cannot be withdrawn under any circumstances.
  • Abstracts accepted as e-posters must be uploaded to the e-poster platform before the congress, after receiving the notification e-mail. E-posters may be prepared in any format with any images preferred by the authors.
  • All accepted abstracts will be included as PDF files carrying a diagonal watermark “this is not the abstract book” on the congress website, USB/flash drives, and mobile applications. These files will not constitute the official abstract book. After the congress, abstracts not presented will be removed, and the official abstract book will be published.
  • If accepted oral abstracts are not presented on the scheduled date, or accepted e-posters are not uploaded before the congress, notifications will be sent to the authors’ institutions.
